The youngest state in the country, Telangana has achieved the highest earning of revenue from South India. The newly formed state has registered record per cent of growth rate in net revenues in the first six months of financial year 2016-17. The net revenue achievement for the first two quarters has been put at Rs 1935.30 crore as against Rs. 1475 Crore in 2015-2016. At the same time Telangana state registered the growth of 31.21 percent during the first half of this financial year.
Telangana has achieved the highest growth rate compared to southern states. Andhra Pradesh registered 12.27 per cent of growth rate, while Karnataka’s 2.31 per cent Kerala’s 3.57 percent and Tamil Nadu achieved minus 2.63 percent.
TRS ruling Telangana government has achieved 45 per cent of its target growth with Rs. 1935.30 crore of revenue in the first half of the financial year 2016-17. The government endorsed a decisive leadership, single window clearances, ease of doing business in real estate sector, development process in the state, progress in irrigation projects and adequate power supply without any cuts are the main reasons for achieving huge revenue growth this year.
