Relentless rush continues at Barah Shahid Dargah in Nellore

YS Jagan took part in ritual festival, ‘Rottela Panduga’

BarahShahid Dargah at Swarnala Cheruvu in Nellore has been witness to the relentless rush of devotees, coming to offer special prayers during this holy period.
The leader of opposition and YSRCP President YS Jagan took part in the traditional ritual, Rottela Panduga in Nellore. YS Jagan offered special prayers at Bara Shahid Dargah. YSRCP activists, large number of supporters and Muslim leaders welcomed YS Jagan. Later, he participated in Rottela festival and exchanged rottelu in Swarnala Cheruvu/Lake here.

People throng Barah Shahid Dargah as part of annual Rottela festival. It’s estimated that over one lakh people celebrate Rottela festival by exchanging of bread (locally called Rottelu) made of wheat flour in a symbolic exchange of life’s pains and pleasures. The festival began on Wednesday and will continue till Sunday.
