YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed AP CM Chandrababu for failing to tackle the drought like situation in the state. Adressing the mammoth gathering at Maha Dharna in Anantapur, the YSRCP chief said that nearly 90 % of the crop has dried up in the region while Chandrababu has been claiming that he has driven away drought from the district in just four days.
“While the drought situation in the district was so severe and agriculture labour were migrating in search of livelihood, the Chief Minister who boasts of having computer technology which has a huge database was found wanting when it mattered most,” he said.
YS Jagan said over 17.52 lakh acres crops were lost due to drought, but the chief minister was claiming there was no drought at all in the state. He accused the TDP government of fooling the farmers in the name of crop damage basement by TD chief by conducting aerial survey.
He said that the rain guns supplied to the farmers in Anantapur district were not enough to make the farm lands cultivable, the YSRC chief pointed out.
