Till now Mega family had 5 releases this year. There might be one more film from Varun Tej this year, but not yet confirmed. So they may have 6 releases this year. Every hero from the family came with a film each but most of them gained pass marks. One hero of course failed miserably.
The first hero who came this year was Power Star himself with ‘Gopala Gopala’ in January. Though the film opened to positive reviews, the collections were not up to the mark and ended up as an average venture.
Then came Allu Arjun with his highly anticipated film ‘S/o Satyamurthy’. The film opened to mixed reviews but its collections were very good because of the summer holidays and was declared a hit.
After that Sai Dharam Tej came up with ‘Subramanyam For Sale’ which was a pure commercial flick and ended up as an average film in terms of business.
Recently Varun Tej surprised everyone with his ‘Kanche’ which got rave reviews for its taking and his mature performance. Unexpectedly the film is going great guns at the box-office.
But the biggest disappointment came from Ram Charan’s ‘Bruce Lee’. The film released with huge expectations and became one of the biggest disasters in the career of Ram Charan. Marked as the comeback film of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, the film had huge hype around it. But ‘Bruce Lee’ ended up as the only flop film from Mega Family this year.
